On November 8-9, 2019, the 16th annual international scientific conference ‘Russia and Canada: opportunities for cooperation’ was held at the Institute of the USA and Canada of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The conference discussed topical issues of Canadian science: from politics and economics to culture and science. Particular attention was paid to Arctic issues, and opportunities for cooperation between Russia and Canada in the Arctic dimension were actively discussed.
For the second year in a row, a meeting of the Young Canadian Studies section is held, where graduate students are given the opportunity to make a presentation on their chosen topic.
Following the conference, a collection of materials will be printed, which will become a source of relevant information about Canada and Russian-Canadian relations.
