Batalov E.Ya. World Development and World Order (Analysis of Modern American Concepts) – Moscow: ‘Russian Political Encyclopedia’ (ROSENN), 2005. – 376 p.

Annotation

The monograph is the first comprehensive study in which the problems of modern world political development and the world order that have become very relevant both abroad and in Russia are considered in recent years. In the work, an analysis of the concepts of influential authors such as Fukuyama, Huntington, Brzezinski, Kissinger, Nay-ml., Aikenberry, Gaddis and others has been undertaken, as well as the discussions that have taken place in recent years in the United States around such problems as the destiny of the nation-state, the possibility the formation of a “multipolar” world, the prospects for building an “American empire,” the foreign policy strategy of the United States, etc. Looking at the problems under study through the prism of American political culture, the author shows the existence of deep links between the concepts of the world th political development and political order emerging in the United States in the post-cold-war world, and national political traditions, evolved in this country over the past history.
The work has no analogues either in domestic or foreign literature, and it is of interest both for international political scientists and for all who are interested in political thought and politics.

Batalov E.Ya. On the philosophy of international relations. Moscow: Scientific and Educational Forum on International Relations, 2005. 132 p.
annotation
The book outlines the contours of the philosophy of international relations as a new scientific discipline that is just emerging, which is aimed at finding the deep bases of the processes and phenomena of international life, and on disclosing the essence of international relations as a special form of reality. The author believes that over time the philosophy of international relations could become – along with the philosophy of politics and the philosophy of law – a full member of the family of philosophical disciplines and an organic part of the science of international relations.
The publication is addressed to researchers, university lecturers, post-graduate students and students studying in the field of ‘international relations’, ‘philosophy’, ‘political science’, as well as all those who are interested in international relations, political science and philosophy.

Batalov E.Ya. Man, the world, politics. Moscow: Scientific and Educational Forum on International Relations, 2008. 330 p.

Annotation

The work of the famous Russian political scientist and philosopher E.Ya. Batalov is devoted to the philosophical interpretation of modern political processes, including international relations, through the prism of the human being. The author believes that one of the merits of the European philosophy of modern times was a turn to man as the center of socio-political space, a free object of creative activity. Such a turn, according to the author, is to be accomplished by political science, which so far focuses on institutional problems. In this connection, the author makes an attempt to see behind the political institutions a living person with his needs, interests, illusions, errors and hopes. The book for the first time presents provisions on anthropology and the philosophy of international relations as scientific sub-disciplines.
The publication is of interest to political scientists, international specialists, students, undergraduates, graduate students, researchers and teachers, anyone who is interested in the philosophical interpretation of international relations and modern politics.
