ISCRAN continues to hold a leading position in research in the field of defense and national security. In February 2019, the annual (twelfth) edition of the report ‘Global think tank index’ 2018 ‘(eng. -‘ 2018 Global Go To Think Tank Index Report ‘), published by the University of Pennsylvania (USA) since 2007, was released.
The report provides a rating of the “think tanks” of the world, compiled from a survey of scientists representing more than 7,500 scientific organizations, as well as government officials and journalists.
According to the report of the ‘Global think tank index’ 2018 ‘, ISCRAN takes:
2nd place among Russian think tanks and 41 places in the ranking of the best world think tanks involved in defense and national security issues;
4th place among Russian think tanks and 134th place in the ranking of the best world think tanks involved in foreign policy and international relations research;
5th place among Russian think tanks and 26th place in the ranking of the best think tanks in Central and Eastern Europe;
29th place in the ranking of the best regional think tanks (with freely defined status).
